The Day the Photos Died.

Me and my Canon Elph, we had a good run. Together for over 5 years, I was still very fond of her, though at 3.2 mega pixels her picture quality wasn’t as dazzling as it once was. But Elph’s LCD screen had been streaking blue and white for the last six months. I knew she was on the way out. It was just a matter of time. Then tonight the LCD screen went black and that was it. The timing of her demise couldn’t have been better. I had no pics on the memory card and since I am going to France in less than 2 weeks I have no choice but to buy a new camera. No tormenting internal debate (spend money, don’t spend money, spend money, don’t spend money). I’m going to France; I need a camera, end of debate. Though I am sorry to lay my old Elph to rest, the new version is seriously sweet. In fact, dear reader, I have been secretly hoping that my Elph would break before I went to France so that I could buy the new one (and praying that she didn’t hit the dust in France : )

So readers, please be patient with the images on the blog. Until the new camera arrives on Tuesday, googled images will grace the posts…

Ooh fun! I’m in the market for a new camera myself. My baby digital that I bought in December is having issues (like it won’t really even turn on right), and I’ll get it fixed under the warranty…but now that I see how much I enjoy taking photos, I think I’ll just opt for something a bit better.

    What are you getting?

i’m getting the canon elph sd1000. my old canon was an elph, the 100 series, and i loved it. very small( you can actually close your hand around it) and the pictures are great. but what i like most about the elphs are their reliability, portability, low price, all the features i need, and they look cool : )
